New Converter

 

Convert to XML is available only in Stylus Studio XML Enterprise Suite.

You use the New Converter dialog box to define a new adapter to convert non-XML files to XML. You can use the adapter you define to convert a single file (the file you use to define it), or to convert other files that have the same properties as the input file.

Fields

1. Select an input file to convert to XML

The file you want to use to convert to XML.

2. Specify the encoding

The type of encoding used by the input file. You can specify this manually, if you know it, using The encoding is field, or you can let Stylus Studio determine the encoding when it reads the file (this is the default).

3. Specify the general layout of the file

Whether the input file is line-oriented or fixed-width. You can choose one of these settings, or you can let Stylus Studio determine the file layout when it reads the file (this is the default).
