Chapter 15 Integrating with Third-Party File Systems

Integration with Berkeley DB XML and with TigerLogic XDMS is available only in Stylus Studio XML Enterprise Suite.

Stylus Studio is fully integrated with two popular third-party file systems:

  • Sleepycat Software's Berkeley DB XML
  • Raining Data ® TigerLogic ® XML Data Management Server (TigerLogic XDMS)

This chapter describes how to work with these file systems in Stylus Studio, and covers the following topics.

Simple API for XML (SAX)

SAX stands for Simple API for XML - SAX is an XML standard used everywhere in Stylus Studio, for parsing and building representations of XML documents.

XML Schema Mapping

Stylus Studio includes a visual XML Schema-to-XML Schema mapping tool that allows you to easily implement sophisticated XML data mappings involving multiple data sources and customized data processing using either XSLT or XQuery code.

Visual Data Integration Using Stylus Studio XML Pipeline

XML Pipeline is a visual data integration tool for designing, editing, debugging and deploying XML applications. This tutorial covers building a data integration application that aggregates CSV and EDI data and publishes a report to HTML and PDF.

XQuery Integration

Learn how new XQuery technologies can simplify legacy data integration by leveraging industry standards, proven open-source XML processing components, and Stylus Studio's integrated XQuery & XML tools.
