Depending on the structure of the data in your XML document, you can choose to work with raw XML text, a DOM tree diagram, or a grid representation. Any changes you make in one view are immediately visible in every other view. You can easily create an XML Schema or DTD based on the content of your XML document if it is not already associated with a schema.
