Getting Started: Creating a New XML Pipeline

This section describes how to create a new XML pipeline document and some of the default behaviors for new XML pipelines.

To create an XML pipeline, select File > New > XML Pipeline from the Stylus Studio menu.

When you create an XML pipeline, Stylus Studio displays a new .pipeline document in the XML Pipeline Editor. The document has a name of untitledn .pipeline, where n is a unique number.

Map between EDIFACT and X12

Anything can be mapped to anything: EDIFACT to X12 or vice-versa, either to XML, and any of those to flat files or other formats. Both the XSLT and XQuery mappers can help bridge complex formats with ease.

XML Schema Editor

Stylus Studio's XML Schema Editor lets you easily develop advanced data models expressed in W3C XML Schema. Its synchronized split-pane interface shows both a visual XML Schema Diagram and the underlying code, and you can edit in either one.
