Saxonica is home of the Saxon XSLT and Saxon XQuery processor developed by Michael Kay and is fully integrated with Stylus Studio XSLT and XQuery development tools. In the five years since Saxon was first released as an open source product, it has attracted a strong reputation as the technology leader among XSLT processors. It is still the only implementation of the draft XSLT 2.0 specifications, which greatly increase the power of the popular XSLT language. Saxon's XQuery implementation appeared in 2003, and quickly established itself as the most up-to-date implementation of the draft XQuery standards. It is the only product available that provides the ability for XQuery and XSLT to interoperate, allowing you to use each of these languages for the things it is best at.
