The following table describes the properties for the Whole-line Text (Line) adapter.

Line separator

Used when converting a whole-line text file to XML, and vice versa. The default is crlf. See Line Separator Values for a list of values.
Encoding
encoding
The encoding for the input file when it is not XML; or the encoding for the output file when it is not XML. The default is
utf-8.
Root element name
root
Value used for the root element name. Default is root.
Line element name
line
Value used for the line element name. Default is line.
