Hi Folks, This document [1] defines JSON documents this way: A JSON document is an information resource (series of octets) described by the application/json media type. Would it be correct to define XML documents in an analogous way: An XML document is an information resource (series of octets) described by the application/xml media type. Two More Questions: 1. What is an "information resource"? 2. The parenthetical remark seems to imply that an information resource is a "series of octets".
