JSON-LD mapping to XML?

JSON-LD mapping to XML?
Greetings XML-Dev

Looks now like JSON-LD is truly 'on the map' which looks great for
structured information standards.

I notice it has mappings to RDF. How could it be mapped to XML more
broadly? Is there a mapping anyone has produced - preferably two-way?
If not, isn't a two-way mapping a great next step for the whole
MicroXML concept? JSON-LD seems to have a great blend of technologies
in there. Even some use of the XML Schema (XSD) for datatypes.
Wouldn't a mimimal cut of the XML stack just necessary for a two-way
mapping be a cool retake on the MicroXML concept? Might need a
revision on MicroXML namespace / no-namespace ideas but what is
minimal change needed to MicroXML plus what minimal extras (I say
minimal to ensure the mapping can be two-way) besides that to get the
mapping. The RDF mapping is great and RDF represented using XML gives
a compatible way to use XML to 'do JSON-LD things' but it is narrow
and not everyone uses RDF a lot who uses XML. What can an XML user
(not necessarily JSON or RDF user) do to parallel JSON-LD?

Plus: Is this a way to add those 'hypermedia affordances'? Don't I see
those there in JSON-LD?
