Could you cite a specification that says so or at least defines HTML in
a way that would it make possible for conforming user agents to properly
process documents containing "whatever"? Or do you mean that some user
agents that are no HTML user agents support data objects that are not
HTML documents?

Could you cite some resource that demonstrates that "HTML works great"?
