Has anyone built an XSLT-based schema unification application? Is anyone interested in working on one? More concretely, there are a good number of well-designed but large schemas that use common data dictionaries, etc., but as a result are cumbersome for both human users and processors. Is it possible to take an XML schema -- together with all imports, includes, and redefines, and construct a single "unified" and optimized schema that lives in a single file? I've got a start (in the form of an almost-working set of stylesheets for the single namespace case), but this may have a simpler solution in the context of some of the recent discussions on the list (e.g., w3c -> rng -> single rng -> w3c). -- Paul Brown
