I bring Cairo up, not to criticize, I thought it was fantastically visionary at the time, and was let down when it got cancelled. My point is more that I bet MS will jump into 'SW' activities pretty fast as soon as a commercial interest develops. In the meantime who knows what is going on behind the scenes, paricularly in the MSR labs -- I suspect that there is at least some Description Logic going on somewhere. I know there is a fair amount of Bayesian analysis being done in there somewhere, so I would hardly expect "Web Services" to be the last word coming out of Redmond. > > The question now is whether or not the base > web service specs as they stand today and > the code on the docks is ready for us to > work with and get something happening. What is the point then? Just do it. Who needs this "WS-I" acronym? Less hype and more code is always a good thing. Jonathan
