Is anyone aware of a simple method (using XSLT) for incrementing a string? I need to start with AA and potentially go all the way up to ZZ e.g AA, AB, AC, AD.....ZZ.

The only way I have found to do this is to create a stylesheet that runs a Java Script as shown below. Excuse my question though, when I run this through proprietary middleware it works fine, but when I run this through an off the shelf product like stylus studio I get the error: www.vc.com does not identify an external Java Class. The stylesheet below is called from another stylesheet and so the Java Class does not reside on www.vc.com (fictional address). Can anyone please tell me how to resolve this issue, but also how to resolve the original question without resorting to Java Script?

Using XQuery or XSLT 2.0, you can run this XPath expression:
codepoints-to-string(
for $ch in string-to-codepoints("AA")
return $ch+1)
