DataDirect XML Converters™ API

The file format conversion utilities are designed for the highest performance in Java or .NET applications. They are designed around a streaming architecture for minimal memory footprint and maximal throughput.

In order to deploy using them, however, it is useful to have some references and samples. Below is the documentation for the File Converter APIs as used in the DataDirect XML Converters™. There are many ways in which these can be used:

as directly in your own programs (Java or .NET),
as part of generated XSLT or XQuery code, or
as part of your own XSLT or XQuery code through a custom URL Resolver, or
within XML Pipelines where you draw the interface and Stylus Studio® writes the code.

These components provide bi-directional programmatic access to virtually any streamable data source (EDIFACT, X12, EANCOM, IATA), flat files, and other legacy formats, as XML, so you can directly read and write to the files from your Java or .NET application.
