Abel, I do have this template installed. It would have reported an
error. I am really surprised because this replace function does not even
exist in the source of xalan. Someone advised me to use it in a
different way but still no luck. Here's the source of my test files.
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?> <xsl:stylesheet version="2.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" xmlns:xalan="http://xml.apache.org/xalan" xmlns:str="http://exslt.org/strings"> <xsl:import href="str/str.xsl" /> <xsl:template match="program"> <xsl:value-of select=" str:replace('public','public','<KeyWord> pulic </KeyWord>')" /> </xsl:template> </xsl:stylesheet> =========================================================== Testing file: <?xml version="1.0"?> <program> public static void main( String [] a){ System.out.println("test"); } </program> this is still not working. I will look into the regex way. Abel Braaksma wrote: Mansour wrote:Matthew, I have checked this and when it nothing worked for me, I decided to post to this list.
