Thank you so much Mukul. Very helpful!
Java (or any other language) is not a constraint as long as the code is open source because I am trying to understand the different approaches and get some recommendations.
https://stleary.github.io/JSON-java/index.html writes: The Sequences of similar elements are represented as JSONArrays. Content text may be placed in a "content" member. …So
very similar to newtonsoft.
I am still trying to understand what
https://github.com/FasterXML/jackson-dataformat-xml/issues/402 does....

Subject: Re: Asking for recommendations of xml 2 json open source projects
Hi Jean,
Agree Michael. However, I am trying to understand the current state of xml 2 json systematic transforms as open source. I did not look since a long time…
I've found following to be good,
I haven't tested these Java libraries, for XML mixed content to Json conversion (you may, feed XML mixed content data to these libraries, and see what Json documents they emit and see if that succeeds and suites you).
But otherwise, these libraries are good for, other kinds of XML information.
Also, these libraries are writting for Java applications. I'm not sure, if that could be a constraint for your work.
