Hi Ken, Coincidentally, today Norm released version 1.0 of xmlresolver, the catalog resolver that he has been working on for a couple of years (not permanently, of course...) and that we have gotten to rely on. https://github.com/ndw/xmlresolver/releases/tag/1.0.0 As early as in 2007, he wrote that his xmlresolver will feature a namespace resolver: https://norman.walsh.name/2007/02/06/xmlresolver#resolveNamespace The catalog entry for the invoice namespace would look like this: <uri xmlns:r="http://www.rddl.org/" name="urn:oasis:names:specification:ubl:schema:xsd:Invoice-2" r:nature="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" r:purpose="http://www.rddl.org/purposes#schema-validation" uri="../maindoc/UBL-Invoice-2.2.xsd"/> It specifies, using RDDL nature and purpose attributes, that the namespace corresponds to an XML schema that can be used for schema validation. To my knowledge (Norm, please correct me if I'm wrong), there is no validator though that is able to use this information in order to associate a schema with a document in that namespace. But this could indeed become the OASIS catalog 1.2 feature that you have been thinking of. (If there is a v.1.2 and if validators make use of this information.) Gerrit On 02.03.2019 14:38, G.
