Static type information is pretty much the basic raw material of all optimization, and anything that improves the precision of the type information available is going to get used. What's difficult is to quantify the benefits. As with all optimization, there's a curve where a very small number of stylesheets get a very big benefit, and a very large number get a very small benefit.
