I'm pleased to announce the release of XMLQuire V1.16, a free and light XML Editor for Windows. XMLQuire was developed mainly to showcase the new 'virtual formatting' concept in a simple XML Editor. It's evident however, that this product is being selected chiefly for its strengths as an XML analysis and XPath tool. The latest version of XMLQuire therefore adds special XPath expression management capabilities: 1. You can now save, rename, group, delete or restore XPaths from the XPath Editor. 2. While XPath expressions and their metadata are stored/loaded using a custom XML file format, other formats can be supported by modifying the import/export XSLT filter files. 3. A summary of the evaluation for all stored XPaths is refreshed each time a new XML file is selected, the summary can be filtered by group. 4. Because XPath 1.0 does not support the default namespace, the XPath evaluation context is now modified to automatically map a prefix to the first namespace URI declared as default. The XPath auto-complete list and all auto-generated XPaths reflect the updated evaluation context. 5. The XPath editor is capable of tracing each component part of an XPath expression by simple selection, including nested/chained predicates or functions. - A limitation - Only XPath 1.0 is supported. XPath variables can be used though, but these are not part of the 1.0 specification. XMLQuire is available for download from: http://xmlquire.com Many thanks Phil Fearon http://qutoric.com [Date Prev] | [Thread Prev] | [Thread Next] | [Date Next] -- [Date Index] | [Thread Index] |
