You didn't say whether you wanted xpath2 or 1, xpath2 makes it a bit easier but I'll assume 1, as that works in both. You want the xpath string " ' " which requires that you use " for the string delimiter so your completed xpath is self::node()[@content=" ' "] which could more easily be written as the equivakent @content=" ' " either way yo need to put that expression in an XML attribute so if you use " for the attribute value you need to quote " test="self::node()[@content=" ' "]" or you can use ' for teh attribute value and then quote ' test='self::node()[@content=" ' "]' David (xsl-list is better than xml-dev for this kind of question) ________________________________________________________________________ The Numerical Algorithms Group Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales with company number 1249803.
