The Eclipse Web Standard Tools platform has a built in spellchecker, and the XML editors included work well with it. You have the ability to add your own custom dictionaries as well. I've used the eclipse tools to do docbook editing and publication, and they work quite well. Best of all it's all open source and free. You can read more about the XML abilities in my blog post about creating an XML IDE with eclipse. http://intellectualcramps.blogspot.com/2008/06/creating-xml-ide-with-eclipse.html If you need help getting things setup let me know.
