With increasing threats encompassing everything from hacking to identity
theft, providing a secure, online environment has become a major objective
for governments and organisations worldwide. This will be a key goal of the
OASIS Adoption Forum.
Now, due to limited seating, time is running out to secure your place at the
third annual event.

In just 4 weeks, your peers will gather at the Hilton London Kensington
Hotel to discuss the tools, standards and implementations that are
transforming security interactions and relationships between citizens,
businesses, governmental institutions and agencies.
Keynote speakers include Karel De Vriendt, Head of Unit for the European
Commission, Enterprise and Industry Directorate-General, and Mark D. Ferrar,
Director of Infrastructure at the Technology Office for UK's National Health
Service (NHS) Connecting for Health.
Secure your seat today at a discounted rate and take advantage of all the
benefits: content-rich sessions, luncheons featuring roundtable discussions,
and networking receptions.

LATEST ADDITIONS!

The Forum Expands the Programme to Include a Special PKI Workshop

The Forum will now include a special workshop on the "State and Future of
PKI", hosted by the OASIS PKI Member Section. This will explore the use of
PKI in business applications around the world. The goal is to collectively
assess how PKI is being used today - particularly as it is becoming embedded
in business and government systems - and to understand its interaction with
other security technologies, standards, and applications.
The workshop will showcase PKI case studies, followed by an interactive
panel discussion featuring major implementers.

ITU Joins the List of Event Supporters

ITU recently joined the list of event supporting organisations including:
Liberty Alliance, CEN/ISSS, eema, and ICTSB. The event is also sponsored by
BEA Systems, EDS, HP, IBM, OASIS PKI, SAP, Sun Microsystems, and Xenos.

Panelists Confirmed for the Closing Panel on "Open Source and Security
Standards"

John Gøtze, XML Standards Specialist and Technical Writer, and John Wailing,
Director of Technical Policy Cabinet Office in the UK Government, will be
joining the closing panel on Open Source and Security Standards, moderated
by Nigel Stanley, Practice Leader-IT Security for Bloor Research.
Panelists will discuss the issues wrapped around the use of open vs. closed
source / traditional software and provide their views on how both approaches
address important evaluation criteria such as security, quality, support and
TCO, in public sector projects.

Authors and Publishers - Book Donations Accepted

There is a growing body of books that feature technical and executive-level
information on OASIS Standards and specifications. A "Book Table" at the
event will showcase these books throughout the duration. This is not a book
sale, but an opportunity to give attendees a first-hand look at the range of
available titles. A handout listing all books, including information on
purchasing options, will be provided. Books will be on display during the
event and raffled off to attendees at the end. Contact the manager of events
at events@o... for more details.

OASIS Members and members of our supporting organisations are entitled to
receive the discounted daily rate of EUR100.
