What?  Ummm... is that response a troll? 

1.  That conference is important to some here given it is the main 
XML conference in the US.  This is related because many here are 
the authors who submit to these conferences and a friendly reminder 
is a good thing (we're geeks; we need reminders to get dressed).

2.  This is an unmoderated OASIS list.  As long as a vendor doesn't 
abuse it, press announcements are ok.  Lauren Wood is the last person 
on earth who would abuse that privilege.
