They should never use javax.xml.parsers.SAXParserFactory or the SAXParserFactory class. SAXParserFactory was added to JAXP 1.0 to fill some holes in SAX 1. It is completely unnecessary in SAX 2, and indeed is actively harmful. (A lot of the defaults on things like namespaces are wrong.)
