Hello Didier: Yes. The standard isn't finalized and of course, everything is a beta, but there are three implementations of note at this time: o http://mediamachines.com Flux. An Active X plugin and toolkit. Reads XML. Pay attention to the installation instructions. Best for someone just getting started or who needs a solid Windows implementation that looks good and runs fast. Note that the main guy in this company is Tony Parisi, a legend because he is one of the three people who brought 3D to the web originally. o http://www.xj3d.org Xj3D Linux, Windows, and Java - browser and toolkit. Reads XML. Open source. Powerful stuff for powerful people. This is the consortium's commitment to open source and "no standard before implementation". o http://www.bitmanagement.de/developer/contact/examples/x3d/x3d.html This is a version of the Contact VRML97 viewer that uses DOM and transforms XML to VRML. I haven't tested it but the group that does this is one of the best in the business of those who survived the industry shakeout. I wrote an article for XML.COM with the details of X3D and a sample tutorial. If it gets published, more information will be available in a digestible chunk. There are extensions such as GeoVRML and H-Anim that are exciting. len From: Didier PH Martin [mailto:martind@n...] Hello Len, Len said: > ... post ....http://www.3dez.net/X3D/CML/ > Didier ask: Len, I tried to find an X3D viewer without success. Do you know if there are any or if there are some work in progress to build ones.
