Also, Auntie Mame may have no use for XML, but Cousin Susie might be able 
to do some cool stuff with Mame's garden club newsletter if it were in XML 
rather than proprietary Word format -- pulling in jokes from RSS-syndicated 
gardening blogs and newsletters, or accessing some "garden joke du jour" 
web service  perhaps --  that her mama never thought possible.  That's the 
whole point of XML, liberating the information from the app that created it 
so that unexpected things can happen.
