No, what he said was they will not continue development the COM-based SOAP Toolkit, which can be used from pre-NET applications. Going forward all SOAP related implementations at Microsoft are going to be implemented as managed classes, i.e. in .NET. Thank you!!!! The VSLIVE video http://www.fawcette.com/reports/vsliveor/2002/09_18_02/keynote/ was a great resource on where Microsoft is going with XML. It answered so many questions I have. And also provided more questions - like the SOAP one above. Thanks, Pam Pam Ammond Empowering You! website: http://www.empoweringyou.com Please buy the "Wow! Subject: Microsoft's vision of data and the role of XML in that context Hi For the curious fellows interested to know what the Redmond 800 pound gorilla views as a future and the role of XML in it, Check the video presentation youâ??ll find at the end of this link: http://www.fawcette.com/reports/vsliveor/2002/09_18_02/keynote/. Keep in mind that the API presented in this video is a client side API used to interface with data (structured and semi-structured). Note: It doesnâ??t mean that I am supporting their view but since they play a very important role in the development community, it worth a lurk â?º Cheers Didier PH Martin ----------------------------------------------------------------- The xml-dev list is sponsored by XML.org <http://www.xml.org>, an initiative of OASIS <http://www.oasis-open.org> The list archives are at http://lists.xml.org/archives/xml-dev/ To subscribe or unsubscribe from this list use the subscription manager: <http://lists.xml.org/ob/adm.pl>
