RE: Don't Let Architecture Astronauts Scare You

RE: Don't Let Architecture Astronauts Scare You
I'm not sure I mind the reinvention. That can be
cleaned up in documentation if the chair has the
background required for the job. It is the insistence
that the wheel is too complicated and interferes
with their traditional use of sleds pulled by
slaves that grinds.

I am to play a gig this weekend for a group of
"traditional" music fans who drive BMWs with AC
and DVD players to the show but object if musicians
use microphones. Let's say, I will take their
money but won't take them very seriously.

I have also noticed in these design meetings that people tend to reinvent
the wheel. Not so much because they are not happy with the wheel but more
because out of in experience they dont know that the wheel exists. So they
invent it again and think that they have accomplished a great feat.
