RE: Don't Let Architecture Astronauts Scare You

RE: Don't Let Architecture Astronauts Scare You
heh ,

I have also noticed in these design meetings that people tend to reinvent
the wheel. Not so much because they are not happy with the wheel but more
because out of in experience they dont know that the wheel exists. So they
invent it again and think that they have accomplished a great feat.

Many messages in this thread can be summarized as:

1. The world doesn't need people like them, it just needs people like me.
This can be proven from the fact that I don't really understand what they
do anyway.
2. Most of the great accomplishments of the world were done by one kind of
person, people like me, and we don't need those other people.
3. If you really want to ship working code, you need people like me, people
who post to XML-Dev instead of spending their time doing things that do not
directly contribute to crafting code.
