xml diff and patch

I notice on http://www.ibiblio.org/xml/ that you wrongly claim

"XML Diff performs partially XML-based comparison of the XML documents
as opposite of a common lexical comparison. For instance, it ignores the
document encoding and the order of attributes. However, it does
distinguish between empty element tags and empty elements with two tags.
This is a bug."

This is incorrect. Please correct it.

According to the documentation this tool "does differentiate between an
empty element <a/> and element with no content <a></a>" This is clearly
wrong. <a/> vs. <a></a> is just syntax sugar. There is no significant
difference between them, and tools should not pretend there is. An empty
element is an element with no content and vice versa.

This is a common misconception among developers and Microsoft should not
be encouraging it.
