That is not a tag. It is a series of characters that resolves to a "<",
"t", "e", ..."/", ">". It is data, not markup. It means exactly the same
as <![CDATA[<testnode1>]]>.

If you want it treated as an element then you should type in real
less-than and greater-than signs. Otherwise it is data.
