I hope so, but again, there are issues here.  We tend to think like 
programmers and that is reflected in the architecting 
of XML possibly to its detriment in some cases.  A program editor for 
HTML-like code and one for real time graphics need different 
editing interfaces.   XML is Just Syntax and the editing 
application is one place that is demonstrated almost painfully, 
but to serve in the role of a metalanguage, necessarily.  

The X3D effort has been a revelation to the XMLers that have 
worked on it.

I do really look forward to see what MS will jazz the Interdev up with, to fully support XML.

They are slow starters, but usually pick up speed tremendously when the market has proven its potential.

Guess that we will se colorcoding, auto complete, context sensitive help, etc etc etc.
