I was just poking around the Unicode site and reading about the beta of Unicode 3.2. There's one very nice addition - a new character WORD JOINER (U+2060) which has the semantics of the ZERO-WIDTH NON-BREAKING SPACE (aka Byte Order Mark), deprecating the ZWNBS leaves FEFF as just the BOM. Good thinking. Mind you, XML 1.1 as proposed would allow this puppy to appear as a Name character :) -Tim
