Mark, thanks for the respectful pushback, but that's not true. Much of the XML-RPC spec is devoted to explaining how to serialize values, structs and lists. If you were going to marshall your calls in a different format, you'd still have to define and explain how serialization works. This has long been overlooked in the REST-is-Better discussions. (Although I have pointed it out before.)
