I've heard from a number of people their concerns related to this recent
thread. Just to let you know, I have responded to Peter Murray-Rust
privately, and will do what I can to address his concerns. I believe that it
is appropriate that he be acknowledged as the founder of the list, and I
have asked him to provide me with some content that we can put on the web
page.

I don't want anyone to feel that OASIS is not responsive to the needs of
this community. To help me resolve issues quickly I would request from you
all that you contact me directly rather than posting your concerns or
complaints publicly to the list. I don't read every message of every list
the day it's sent, and may not see an issue reported over a list until it is
brought to my attention. So please contact me directly. Besides, it's just
good practice to send complaints or concerns to the party that they apply
to, rather than complaining in a public forum whose members are powerless to
do anything about the problem.
