I would have to agree with Henry; why splinter in this still early
stage?  The traffic on xmlschema-dev is not large anyway.  Practically
speaking for me it makes no difference whether people start
discussions on Yahoo or otherwise.  No-one's gonna stop you.  I wasn;t
clear to me, however, that the list creator knew that xsdschema-dev
even existed before announcing the yahoo list.

Furthermore, I personally don't like yahoo groups or any other
hyper-commercialized interface.

Like it or not, the name "XSD" is associated with the W3C.  Perhaps if
the yahoo list creator would not encroach on the namespace so closely:
perhaps "XSD-users" or "alt-XSD" or "XSD-open" would be better (and
not a bad marketing move either).  Am I wrong in that
