Methods don't fail, Marcus. Projects and companies do. Individuals are absorbed by the winners. Is XP a fad? Sort of. It is mostly a shortcut. Having seen the other extremes of structured design, the sweet spot is somewhere in the middle, and that is where most of us find ourselves.
