These two at least have middle grounds, though perhaps it's more of a
demilitarized zone than a meeting place.  I haven't had any abuse from true
believers in CORBA since June, and I've spoken on it several times since
then, even to CORBA-folk.

The relational database issue seems to be settling nicely, as vendors of
RDBMS software are adding XML features and as XML starts talking about data
typing and other features that help RDBMS folk.  I'm still fond of those
crazy hierarchical databases, though, so maybe we can revive that ancient
feud.
