Another alternative, would involve "multipart/related" as defined in RFC2112: The MIME Multipart/Related Content-type http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc2112.txt multipart/related is used in RFC 2110: MHTML: MIME E-mail Encapsulation of Aggregate Documents http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc2110.txt This technology is also used over HTTP.
