I disagree with Tim that the *suggested* namespace prefix is irrelevelent.
You could similarly argue that file extensions are meaningless because of
mime types. But our file systems tend to work better if we keep file
extensions globally unique, as far as possible, and our documents will
work better (especially with respect to cut and paste) if we can keep
prefixes globally unique (as far as possible).

That sounds like another job for xml.org.
