yes, please.

is there some part of the exisiting deliberations which led up to the
namespace proposal, which could be made public and would explain the problem?

i would welcome this, as, although i've heard the concern expressed often,
i've seen no basis for it in implementing namespaces and validation, and am
wondering if i've misunderstood something fundamental...
