Hello,

I have one small problem.
Wenn i convert a excel field like '5" SCREW' its saved as csv like '"5"" srew"' i see this also in the converter view how do i prevent that this text is put into the xml with stylus studio custom xml converter?

I want to see the original text like '5" SCREW'.

Hi Erik,

Export your Excel document using SYLK then use the Stylus Studio built-in SYLK converter

- File -> Open
- Set Files Of to *.*
- Click "Open using XML Converters"
- In the Select Converter Dialog, click on Symbolic Link Format.

The resulting XML looks like the following

<file producer="WXL">
<row>
<column>'5" SCREW' </column>
</row>
</file>

That did not do the trick.

I am using stylus studio 2008

and i want to convert from

excel 2003 -> csv(ms-dos) -> stylus studio 2008 -> xml

Hi Erik,

The approach I suggested works fine in Stylus Studio 2008, see image attached.

The Excel CSV output won’t work, notice that that’s the way Microsoft Excel export the data

"'5"" SCREW' ", aaa,bbb

Aha i didn't know the symbolic link format support of excel.
