I keep getting this error message in the preview of the xsl sheet.

Output document cannot be parsed as XML
expected end of tag 'meta'

But I havend started any meta tag and the preview shows what I expect it to do.

Why do I get this error?

Hi, Jakob. Can you tell us what version of Stylus Studio you are using (Help > About Stylus Studio)?

It sounds like you might be missing <xsl:output> (if you are using the XSLT to create HTML). You can set this property on the Params/Other tab in the Scenario Properties dialog box. If you prefer, you can maually enter a line like this, immediately following the <xsl:stylesheet> line in your XSLT:

<xsl:output method="html" encoding="UTF-8"/>

If that doesn't work for you, please send your XSLT and source XML document to us at stylus-field-report at progress dot com, and we'll take a closer look.

Hope this helps.

Build 501f

My xsl sheet looks like this:

<?xml version="1.0"?>
<xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform">
<xsl:output method="html" version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" indent="yes"/>
<xsl:template match="/">
<html>
<head/>
<body>
<!-- content removed for forum-->

</body>
</html>
</xsl:template>

<xsl:template match="*"/>
</xsl:stylesheet>

Where is stylus-field-report ??

Hi, Jakob.

We're currently at Build 501h for that version of Stylus Studio. You can get your update here:

http://www.stylusstudio.com/update/2006.html

Also, if you're using the XSLT to generate HTML, by definition, the output won't be well-formed XML, so you will get the error you're seeing when you try to open the output as XML.

If you care to, send us the complete XSLT here:

stylus-field-report@progress.com

Finally, please refrain from refreshing the browser as it causes duplicate entries. Use the Show New Messages button, located near the top of the SSDN page.

Thanks.
