Latoya FarrellSubject: Loop to specific child element using XSL
Author: Latoya Farrell

Good Morning,

I am new to this site and to XSL. I have the following XML:

<PayClassList>

<PayClassInformation>

<PayClassDesc>Payable</PayClassDesc>

<PayClassCode> 2400</PayClassCode>

<PayClassCodeSubCd></PayClassCodeSubCd>

<PayClassAmt>18.00</PayClassAmt>

</PayClassInformation>

<PayClassInformation>

<PayClassDesc>Returned Check Fee</PayClassDesc>

<PayClassCode>2404</PayClassCode>

<PayClassCodeSubCd></PayClassCodeSubCd>

<PayClassAmt>25.00</PayClassAmt>

</PayClassInformation>

<PayClassList>

I have a for each PayClassInformation Loop.
I know that select ".//" will give me the first child element (PayClassDesc)
in PayClassInformation. select "." will give me all 4 childs. I just need
to know how do I select PayClassCode or even PayClassSubCode.

Thanks,

Latoya

Something like this?

<xsl:for-each select="PayClassList/PayClassInformation">
<xsl:value-of select="PayClassCode"/>
<xsl:value-of select="PayClassCodeSubCd"/>
</xsl:for-each>
