Paul HSubject: Xalan-J Version
Author: Paul H
Date: 07 Mar 2002 06:18 AM
Hi,

We are experiencing difficulties moving from Windows to Unix and would like to rule out any version differences with Xalan-J on the unix box and the in-built version in Stylus. What version is stylus using?

I appreciate I can specify a processor but would like to know what I have been using before I tackle this next step.
I have downloaded Xalan-J 2.3.1 in preparation for this - you could also tell me the command line I need to put in for this too if you like :)

Thanks,

Paul

The current version of Stylus doesn't use any embedded version of Xalan-J;
the "internal" processor is not Xalan-J. You can configure Stylus Studio to
use any external processor in the scenario property dialog.

As mentioned, you have probably been using the Stylus Studio internal
processor.

Stylus Studio 3.1 knows how to invoke Xalan-J; just choose Xalan-J in the
external processor tab and make sure to specify the proper classpath if
that's not in your default classpath environment variable (something like
\xerces.jar;\xalan.jar;\bsf.jar).
