Dear all,

I have a flat file I want to convert to an xml. Problem is that the layout is field name/field value/field name/field value etc.

I therefore choose fixed width region, but how can I define that each row should start where the text "ProductCodeOEM" is found and that it should take the field value from the next column.

Attached you will find the file concerned.

Thanks,

Cynthia

You could import the text file to xml then perform a XSL transformation on it to put it in the right format.

If you post your XML that you get I would be happy to write the XSLT for you

Cheers, John Bampton.

Hi John,

Thanks for thinking with me. I asked the customer in the mean time if he could supply me with a file with the field names in the header row and he could.

So we could spare ourselves some time for any new challenge this Sunday will bring us!

Grtz,

Cynthia
