fsda fdasSubject: Displaying Text in XSLT only if specific attribute has a value
Author: fsda fdas

I have a question about if then else statements in XSLT. I curently have links setup like the following:

<a href="/express/index.cgi?add_by_express={$prod},{$unit},1">Read More</a><br/>

Where unit is defined as:

<xsl:variable name="unit">
<xsl:value-of select="Selling_UM_1"/>
</xsl:variable>

However, there are multiple instances where the value of Selling_UM_1 is null. In these instances, I would like the link to not show, The link should only show up when Selling_UM_1 is populated. Could anyone provide me with some advice or a step in the right direction?

Thanks

<xsl:if test="Selling_UM_1">
<a>href="/express/index.cgi?add_by_express={$prod},{$unit},1"&gt;Read More</a><br/>
</xsl:if>

Or, you could do something like
<xsl:if test="normalize-space($unit) != ''">
...
</xsl:if>
if it's possible that $unit might have some whitespace but otherwise
be empty.
