(Deleted User) Subject: Bad XML encoding declaration error!
Author: (Deleted User)

Hi!

I have found a strange behavior in Stylus Studio 3.0.47. When I open the enclosed .xsl file and then hit the refresh button, I get the error:

Bad XML encoding declaration, 'ISO_8859-1:1987'
(Please see also the uploaded .bmp file.)

This is the value I selected on the "Params/Other" page in the XSLT-Editor for"XSLT Encoding".

When I change the value of the xml-declaration to "iso-8859-1" then I can hit the refresh button and my data is displayed.

So is "ISO_8859-1:1987" a correct format for the encoding? I have never seen an underscore ("_") in an encoding value.

Thank you

Chris

Chris,
yes, the encoding combo box contains a few entries that are wrong; they
are returned by the encoding library we are using, but their names are
invalid entries when used for XML encodings.

We are now working to remove these bogus entries; in the meanwhile you want
to avoid using the entries that contain characters that are not numbers,
letters, .'s, _'s or -'s

BTW, this is a problem common to build 47 and to any older build.
Sorry for the inconvenience,
Minollo
