I always get in my head that game Connect4 or those old coin sorters
that would shunt a coin this way or that.

In XSLT case, we put the data in at the top of the game, and it
naturally finds itself somewhere at the bottom...I could go on with
the analogy

otherwise I think in terms of pipes and plumbing, water as data....
