Hello,
I have XHTML files that represent a template, a subtemplate, and components, that I'd like to merge together into a final XHTML document. BaseTemplate.html ----------------- <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en"> <head> <title>Base Template</title> </head> <body> <table> <tr> <td id="subTemplateHere">Sub Template Goes Here</td> </tr> </table> </body> </html> SubTemplate.html ---------------- <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en"> <head> <title>Sub Template</title> </head> <body> <table id="subTemplate"> <tr> <td id="componentHere">Component Goes Here</td> </tr> </table> </body> </html> Component.html ---------------- <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en"> <head> <title>Component</title> </head> <body> <table id="component"> <tr> <td>Final Data!</td> </tr> </table> </body> </html> The final XHTML document I'd like would look like this: Final.html ---------- <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en"> <head> <title>Base Template</title> </head> <body> <table> <tr> <td id="subTemplateHere"><table id="subTemplate"> <tr> <td id="componentHere"><table id="component"> <tr> <td>Final Data!</td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> </table> </body> </html> Essentially, from the base template, insert into the tree at id='subTemplateHere' the contents of the subtemplate at id='subTemplate' Could someone lead me in the right direction as to how to do this? -Justin Akehurst XSL-List info and archive: http://www.mulberrytech.com/xsl/xsl-list
