Yes, you're quibbling.

I'm not sure what the point of using an update verb (POST) on an updater 
URL would be, or what the result of any other HTTP request to it would 
be.  DELETE to an 'updater' URL?  GET?  PUT?

It can't actually be used with the available verbs in this case.
